What's Hot on HARO – February 18, 2009

Have you joined my incredibly non-annoying, once-in-a-while email newsletter?

Good morning! Welcome to What’s Hot on HARO, this Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

This HARO is thanks to my mom and dad, who decided that I talk way too fast. So I slowed down. And by slowing down, I got the date wrong in the video. Thanks, mom and dad.

Don’t forget the conference call on How to Pitch a Reporter! you can still register for the five spots left here.

Anyhow – The stat I referenced from the Pew Institute can be found here: In December 2008, 11% of online American adults said they used Twitter or “another service that allowed them to share updates about themselves or to see the updates of others,” up from 9% just a month earlier. Not surprisingly, Twitter usage is most common among younger adults. 19% of online adults ages 18 to 24 and 20% of those ages 25 to 34 have ever used Twitter and services like it, compared with 10%of 35- to 44-year-olds and 5% of those ages 45 to 54.

And here’s the morning WHOH!
